At Avenue Living, we love bringing our residents together, and our recent Stampede celebration at Glenmore Gardens and Elata was a perfect opportunity to foster community and embrace the spirit of this iconic Calgary tradition. The Calgary Stampede is an annual event held every July, known as The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth. It is a world-famous rodeo and festival that celebrates Western heritage, culture, and the power of community.
Inspired by this city-wide celebration, we wanted to create a space where our residents could come together, connect and make lasting memories. The day was filled with excitement, laughter, and a strong sense of togetherness as friends and neighbours enjoyed an unforgettable event hosted in true Stampede spirit.
The event kicked off with a mouthwatering barbeque lunch provided by the incredible team at Spolumbo's Fine Foods & Deli. Residents savored delicious, hearty meals that fueled them up for an afternoon of activities. And of course, no summer celebration would be complete without a sweet treat! The Ice Cream Truck rolled in, serving up cold, creamy delights to help everyone cool off under the warm Calgary sun.
The event had yard games everywhere, bringing out the competitive spirit in both kids and adults. Laughter and cheers filled the air as residents played and mingled.
Adding to the festive vibe, Eagle Feather Entertainment kept the energy high with lively music that had everyone tapping their boots and hitting the dance floor. Whether it was toe-tapping, two-stepping, or simply swaying to the rhythm, the music brought everyone together in celebration.
Meanwhile, Zenbase joined in to connect with residents, and TELUS added a lovely touch to the day by handing out beautiful flowers, making the event even more special.
With over 300 attendees, the event was a true testament to the vibrant and welcoming community we cultivate at Avenue Living.
