On July 15, 2024, we turned up the summer fun by treating our residents to a delicious surprise! In honour of National Give Something Away Day, ice cream trucks rolled up to more than 20 of our buildings, handing out free frozen treats. It was the perfect way to beat the heat, bring neighbours together, and spread a little joy.

But the sweetness didn’t stop there! This celebration was also about giving back. In Red Deer, the Red Deer Food Bank Society ice cream truck delighted residents, with proceeds going directly to support families in need. Meanwhile, in Saskatoon, the Generation Love Project served up smiles alongside scoops, raising funds for programs that uplift underprivileged youth.

Beyond the treats and charitable giving, this day was also about strengthening the connections within our communities. Our property managers loved the opportunity to step outside, chat with residents, and share in the fun. Whether catching up with familiar faces or welcoming new ones, these moments helped build a stronger sense of community — one scoop at a time!

At the heart of this event was a simple idea: giving doesn’t have to be grand to make a difference. Sometimes, a small act — like a free ice cream cone — can brighten someone’s day.

Thank you to everyone who joined us!
